Description
The Thistle Aberdeen Airport is a modern hotel situated by the airport exit road, 500 meters from the terminal, six miles from Aberdeen city center. The 147 guestrooms are decorated in blue shades with simple wooden furniture. All are equipped with trouser presses, tea making facilities and satellite TV with pay movies. Complimentary newspapers are also offered. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, the Osprey Restaurant serves a range of modern dishes with a regional flavor, such as Duckling in Port and Wild Berry Sauce, while the bar offers a simpler menu of pub meals and drinks. Guests can make use of the gym room, which includes a running machine, static bike, rowing machine, stepper and free weights. The hotel also has six meeting rooms, offering capacity for up to 600 delegates, state of the art visual facilities and satellite conferencing. There is parking onsite and a courtesy shuttle bus to the airport. Aberdeen is a 15 minute drive away, also accessible by train from Dyce station, about one kilometer from the hotel. For those wishing to get a real taste of the highlands, there are numerous whisky distilleries in the region where visitors can sample a wee dram, such as the Glenfiddich Distillery 47 miles away. From the airport, guests should leave the terminal building by the main exit, onto Argyll Road. The Thistle Aberdeen Airport hotel is on the right hand side. Driving directions: From the A96, take first exit at roundabout to Dyce Drive. Follow signs for Airport. At second set of traffic lights, turn right to Argyll Road. The hotel is first on the left. There are 400 car parking spaces at no charge.
